News from the electric car camp – work on the conversion resumes!
Guy and Jennie visited Mark Wines at Frome’s Nunney Road Garage this morning, to find the car minus its power steering rack. The oil has been drained from the rack, so that when roadworthy, the steering won’t be assisted (less drain on the batteries).
Next, the fuel will be drained and a rack built to hold the six gel batteries in place under the bonnet. We’ll return to the car next Tuesday, once it’s up on the ramp, to witness the next stage of the longest vehicle conversion in history.
