As hoped, a visit to Mike and Steve at Nunney Road Garage this afternoon revealed further work on Frome’s first petrol to electric car conversion.

No gearbox operation is complete without a trusty hammer

The gearbox is back in and secured in place with the help of a trusty (temporary) hammer.   A cross member is next to go in – to hold the gear box firmly in place.  This should be welded in tomorrow.

Here’s one of the six leisure gel batteries which will power the vehicle.   These will be mounted in the engine bay, in a specially-built tray.  An additional battery, in the boot, will power the lights etc.
